The genre of Russian Shanson is very original. It is the most widespread music genre in Russia and I would even say that it's the Russian folk creative work of XX - XXI centuries as it reflects all the nuances of Russian people's everyday life. My favourite shanson singers are Krug M., Tsyganova V., Shifutinski M.

Retro
I always associate the genre of retro with a good mood. The reason is that Russian leading shanson performers - K. Shulgenko, L. Utesov, M. Bernes, L. Leschenko, I. Kobzon, S. Rotaru, A. Pugacheva - have always been the best at conveying the kindness and joy of their songs to listeners. Retro for me is also the recollection of my childhood and my favourite holiday New Year, the only holiday when Russian and Foreign singers would perform all night through. I will never forget the ecsatasy the records of "Modern Talking", "ABBA", "Beatles", "Scorpions", "Black Sabbath", "Deep Purple" , "Doors" , "Uriah Heep" , Sandra, E.John, E.Presley, Joe Cocker drove me into.
